Testing is also done on weekends when Mensa has activities. Please go to yahoo group messages and check out from the schedules of activities posted which weekend schedule and venue suits you. Alternatively, please write to Alain Encarnacion and your e-mail address will be noted down and you will be informed when Mensa schedules a testing session near your area. Please also check the Coming Events page regularly for testing sessions that may be held in your vicinity.

What type of test is it?
The type of exam is a purely abstract (figural reasoning) supervised sit-down test; there are no cultural biases that stem from mathematical, reading comprehension, grammatical and similar types of tests.

I would like to take the practice test at home. How do I do this?
The only practice test Mensa Philippines can recommend is on the Mensa International website, http://www.mensa.org/workout.html.

How many questions are there?
We cannot divulge that information, although we can tell you that previously the test was timed, and that people were required to finish the test in 40 minutes.

How much is the testing fee?
Testing fee is P150 for undergraduate students with valid ID and P400 for professionals.

How much is the pre-registration fee?
Pre-registration requires NO pre-payment. Payments will only be received at the testing venue itself. Providing us with your name and contact info beforehand simply allows us to be better prepared to accommodate you. Pre-registrants may choose their time slot and will have preference over walk-in test-takers.

What do I have to bring to the testing session?
Besides the testing fee and a valid ID, you don't have to bring anything else. A pencil will be provided for you. Although if you have a lucky pen, you will be allowed to use that to take the test.

Only if at least six months have elapsed since the last time you took the test. That is the minimum period we allow anyone to retake the test.

I have taken the test in another country and passed. Do I have to take the test again here?
No. All you have to do is contact our cybercom head at office at ph.mensa.org and he will verify your qualification in other countries. As soon as the your qualification is confirmed, you can pay your membership fee and become an active member here in the Philippines.

I have taken the practice tests on the internet and was told my score can qualify me for Mensa. Do I still have to take the test?
You still have to take the test. Only the Mensa-administered tests here and in other countries are officially able to grant anyone qualification.

Is there a minimum age?
Only 14-year olds and above are allowed to take the test. This is because that is the minimum age for which we have data to determine if a person's test results qualify him or her for Mensa. If a child passes the practice tests, then we recommend that he or she take the test upon reaching age 14.

It has been more than a month since I took the test. Can't I be told my test results by e-mail or phone call?
No. To ensure the confidentiality of test results, Mensa International requires us to send the results by post to the preferred mailing address you gave in your information sheet. That means test results cannot be divulged by e-mail, phone call or text message. If you do not receive your results three weeks after you took the test, please contact Mr. Ocampo at the phone number or e-mail address given above to confirm that your preferred mailing address and zip code are correct. Then a new letter will be sent to you. Allow another three weeks for delivery.
